I’VE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. NOW WHAT DO I DO?
Contact your insurance company to report your accident. Let them know where you are taking your vehicle for repairs. They will send an assignment to that body shop. The assignment will contain needed information, such as your claim number. This is needed in order for the body shop to write the estimate, take required photos, and upload the information directly to the insurance company. The shop will then setup your appointment for repairs.
WHERE DO I GET A CLAIM NUMBER?
Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Just jot it down and bring it in with you when you come in to begin the repair process, we will do the rest.
WILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAY FOR A RENTAL?
Yes, if you have rental coverage. Also check with your agent or insurance company to see how much of the rental is covered; some policies pay the full amount, some will only pay a percentage. If the claim is a liability claim (the accident was not your fault), the full amount will be covered.
WHO DO I PAY MY DEDUCTIBLE TO?
It will be your responsibility to pay David White Body Shop when you pick up your vehicle.
IS THERE A WARRANTY ON THE REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE?
Yes. We guarantee all of our repairs with a written Limited Lifetime Warranty.
DO I NEED MORE THAN ONE ESTIMATE?
No. It is up to you to decide who you want to repair your vehicle. If you choose David White Body Shop, then we will write an estimate and send to your insurance company and we will work directly with them.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR NEWLY PAINTED VEHICLE.
- Do not “dry wipe” your vehicle. Dry wiping can scratch the finish.
- Avoid parking under trees and utility lines which are likely to attract birds. Bird droppings have a high acid content and will damage a freshly painted surface. Also, tree sap can mar or spot a freshly painted surface.
- Do not spill gasoline, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, or windshield solvent on the new finish.
- Do not scrape ice or snow from the newly painted surface. Scrapers can act like a paint scraper on a newly painted finish.

Less than a month after purchasing a new car, I was t-boned at a stop sign. Luckily they were only going about 10 mph. Door had to be replaced. David White was recommended by a friend. I was working out of town and kept having to postpone my appointment. They were more than patient and did a GREAT job on the replacement. Unfortunately, less than 6 months later, someone rear ended the same car. I’m going now to pick up said car from David White. Hopefully the work this time is as good as the first.
